At Home Physio for Kids

"Helping to support your child unlock their full potential"

Unlocking your child's potential

Paediatric physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy that focuses on treating children from infancy through to adolescence. Paediatric physios work closely with children and their families to develop care plans that are goal focused and tailored to each child's needs, so that we can help to unlock each child's full potential.

As physiotherapists, one of our primary focuses is optimising a child's physical development, motor skills, balance, coordination, strength and endurance. We treat a range of conditions including:

  • Neurological conditions
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Developmental delays & congenital disorders
  • Cerebral palsy & autism spectrum disorder
  • Spina bifida

What approach do we take?

The approach we take not only factors in the physical aspects but also the developmental stages, emotions and cognitive abilities of the child.

We use an evidence-based approach to the way we deliver our sessions and this often includes a "play-based", positive & supportive environment, as this can help your child build confidence, stay engaged and motivated to help build their physical abilities.

One of the most important aspects of paediatric physiotherapy is family involvement — working with the families, caregivers and even siblings, to assist them on how to best support the development of the child and to implement interventions at home.
